A JOURNEY TO SOMETHING BETTER TURNING WORDS INTO ACTIONS POWER TO THE PEOPLE OUR SUSTAINABILITY PHILOSOP MEASURING OUR FOOTPRINT Working with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG) We are constantly working towards positive change and continually raising the bar for what we aim to achieve. Actions are crucial for progress, and it’s essential for us to meet our goals. As part of this commitment, we’ve set ambitious climate goals with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) as a key partner in our journey. In 2024, we achieved a significant milestone with the highly respected third- party validation of our targets by the SBTi. This validation underscores our dedication to transparency and meaningful climate action, as it reflects the approval and validation of our targets to reduce carbon emissions. With their approval, we make our goals publicly accountable, committing to continuous improvement and transparent reporting on our progress. Our overall climate footprint We use our overall climate footprint to disclose our potential reduction areas, in the GHG protocol to drive significant changes in our business – from raw materials to production, transportation, and energy consumption – with a focus on reducing the largest emitters first. Creating our products is the single biggest contributor to our total impact and therefore, it’s the area we focus on the most. What is SBTi? SBTi is a non-profit organisation dedicated to fostering collaboration between businesses and climate experts. Its primary goal is to ensure that corporate climate targets are aligned with the latest climate science and research, while holding us accountable for meeting our targets and ensuring we have clear plans in place to achieve them. By setting science-based targets, companies can demonstrate their commitment to a more sustainable and responsible future. What is the GHG protocol? The GHG is a global standard that provides guidance for companies and organisations to measure and report their greenhouse gas emissions consistently. It aims to enhance transparency, simplify reporting, and support effective emission reduction strategies. 54
